Passive Components

Passive components are essential elements in electronic circuits that do not require an external power source to function. These components help manipulate and control the flow of electrical currents within a circuit. From resistors to capacitors to inductors, passive components play a crucial role in shaping the behavior and performance of electronic devices.

Resistors are one of the most common passive components, offering resistance to the flow of current in a circuit. They can be used to limit current, adjust signal levels, divide voltages, and terminate transmission lines. Transformers transfer electrical energy between circuits through electromagnetic induction, while diodes allow current flow in one direction only. Antennas convert electrical signals into electromagnetic waves for wireless communication.
