The Powertec XXPOL 5G Panel Antenna is a high performance 4x4 MIMO antenna with wideband performance, covering 4G LTE and 5G NR frequency bands from 698 through to 3800 MHz. The antenna exhibits consistent gain across all four ports, low VSWR, high inter-port isolation, and uncorrelated elements.
This roof mounted antenna has been specifically designed for 5G modems that use four antenna connections in 4x4 MIMO to deliver the highest possible data performance. Typically short jumper cables are used to connect the antenna into a roof mounted weatherproof modem, but longer cables can be used when placing the modem indoors. With a peak gain of 7 to 11 dBi, this is a wide-beam antenna, ideal for both urban and rural areas where signals may be scattered from vegetation and reflecting off multiple surfaces.
The antenna is double dual-slant ±45° ‘XXPOL’, meaning it has two +45° and two -45° slant polarised elements for exceptional multipath performance and matching the polarisation configuration of modern cellular base stations.

4x4 MIMO antennas are required to deliver high speed 4G LTE-A Pro and 5G NR connectivity. 4x4 MIMO delivers twice the data speed of 2x2 MIMO antennas. This is done by employing four independent and uncorrelated antenna elements. The technology is currently in use by all mobile network operators in Australia on 4G LTE bands B1 (2100 MHz), B3 (1800 MHz), and B7 (2600 MHz) in LTE-Advanced Pro areas. 5G Mid-Band transmitters also require 4x4 MIMO over the 3.5 GHz n78 band to deliver the high-speed connectivity touted by operators.
