The L-100 Patch Cable, SMA Female to SMA Male 18cm is a short and flexible coaxial cable designed to connect a larger feeder cable to a user device. In the case of 4G mobile broadband, traditionally modems have used either a TS-9 or CRC9 connector.
These are simple, push-on RF interfaces that provide reasonably good performance up to about 3 GHz, making them suitable for 3G and 4G frequencies. Industrial 4G modems use the more robust SMA connector as the larger thread-on / screw-on interfacing provides far more mechanical durability.
SMA Female to SMA Male patch cables are very short coaxial cables designed to sit between a larger feeder cable and the end device, providing flexibility and strain relief to prevent damage to the equipment. The SMA Female is a rear-mount bulkhead connector that allows the integration of the patch cable into an enclosure or mounting frame.
This patch lead is 18 cm (180 mm) in length and uses a high-quality L-100 coaxial cable to permit operation on 5G FR1 and 5 GHz wireless through to 6 GHz. Each cable is swept prior to leaving the manufacturing facility to ensure S-parameters meet minimum performance requirements.
