The most important factor is getting your donor antenna outdoors up as high as possible to receive the best signal and ensure you isolate the donor and server antennas as much as possible from each other. The input signal and isolation can be checked using the free Cel-Fi WAVE App.

Donor Antenna (outdoor)

Communicates with the cell tower.

Blackhawk Wideband LPDA Antenna with 10m cable

Powertec 4G-5G Wideband LPDA Antenna, 698 to 4000 MHz, N Female, PTL-240 Coaxial Cable N Male to SMA Male, 10m

  • Directional so needs to be pointed towards the cell tower to pick up the signal
  • Requires a pole to mount the antenna
  • Ideal for campers who stay in the same place for a few weeks at a site and are happy to aim and set the antenna
  • Ideal for when you have a near line of sight or line of sight to the cell tower
  • High gain to pick up a stronger signal if aimed correctly and the signal is consistent in the direction of travel

Blackhawk 4G Omni Antenna with 10m cable

Blackhawk Marine Antenna 698 to 2700 MHz 7 dBi + Mount

  • Being Omni-directional able to receive a signal from 360 degrees, so no need to set and aim towards the tower
  • Can be mounted on the roof or side of the van
  • Ideal for customers who want an easy setup, and can easily put the antenna up and down when travelling using the adjustable marine base.
  • Great for areas where there is not a clear line of sight to the cell tower and the signal may be bouncing and coming from different directions eg, low ground down by the beach, in valleys surrounded by hills, mountainous areas with lots of trees around you.
  • Lower gain so may not be able to pick up the signal as strong as a directional antenna with a line of sight to the cell tower.
  • If travelling in a motorhome and using your Cel-Fi whilst driving, this is the suitable antenna option.

Server Antenna (indoor)

Provides a boosted mobile signal to your phone and cellular devices

Blackhawk Indoor Wall Mount Panel with 6m cable

Blackhawk 4G-5G Indoor Wall Mount Panel Antenna, 698 to 4000 MHz, N Female

  • Wall mounted
  • Directional – pushes the signal in one direction
  • Ideally needs to be mounted at one end of the van, could also be used to push the signal outdoors as well
  • Get up to 15m of coverage at a 65-degree angle from the antenna in ideal circumstances (with great signal input and high isolation between the donor and server antenna)

Blackhawk Ceiling Dome Antenna with 6m cable

Blackhawk 4G-5G Ceiling Dome Antenna, 698 to 4000 MHz, N Female

  • Ceiling mounted
  • Omni directional – puts our even coverage in all directions
  • Ideally placed in a central area of the van
  • Get up to 8m of coverage around the antenna in ideal circumstances (good signal input and great isolation between the donor and server antenna)

Another option is to use the antenna below that comes included with the ROAM R41 units and is used in vehicles. This antenna may suit smaller vans not requring full coverage.

Cel-Fi Adhesive Panel Antenna

  • Can be mounted anywhere and stuck to a wall using its adhesive backing
  • Nice and small so can be hidden without the need to drill holes.
  • Omni directional – puts out even coverage in all directions
  • Ideally placed in a central area of a room
  • Get up to 6m of coverage around the antenna in ideal circumstances (good signal input and great isolation between the donor and server antenna)
