RF Adapter, N Female to TNC Male

The N Female to TNC Male adapter is a common type of coaxial adapter, designed to function as a coupling link between a cable terminating with an N Male connector and a device with a TNC Female interface. This adapter is very commonly found in cellular 4G and 5G systems due to Cisco’s use of TNC Female interfaces on their modems.

The N Female connector is typified by a central socket and external threading, while the TNC Male connector is known for its central pin and internal threading. The socket of the N Female connector is designed to receive the pin of an N Male connector. Meanwhile, the pin of the TNC Male is meant for insertion into a TNC Female’s socket, and its internal threading enables a secure attachment by screwing onto the TNC Female’s external thread.
