Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) is the market leader in the container ports and logistics industries in India. To cope with the quick development and on-going expansion of the company, CONCOR decided to deploy a Radio Data Terminals supported by a reliable wireless network. CONCOR required a Wi-Fi network to accurately manage the data from the field and validate from the database of their Inland Container Depots (ICD). The Wi-Fi would also need to support a large number of devices sharing the network.

Altai A8n Base Station

Altai’s A8n Super Wi-Fi base station is an advanced 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi solution. With its 8×8 MIMO and Altai’s smart antenna technology, it is designed for broadest coverage range and best non-line–of-sight (NLOS) performance.

Operating concurrently in both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, the Super Wi-Fi A8n base station can provide access connectivity in both bands as well as long-range (up to 30 kilometres) backhauling in the 5GHz band.

Altai A2e(ac) Access Point

The A2e 5 GHz radio provides two external antenna ports. This allows the user to choose the exact antenna gain they require for a particular application. It also enables users to select the type of antenna they need for point-to-point or point-to-multi-point applications.

Altai Access Controller

With a central processor that employs up to four cores, each with two threads, the AltaiGate 200 is like having a total of 8 virtual CPUs. Its powerful hardware allows it to manage up to 200 Altai Super Wi-Fi access points and 4,000 client devices from a single location. An alternative to the Altai Access Controller is AltaiCare, a cloud-based management platform.
